Art Under the Oaks

I was fortunate to participate in Art Under the Oaks show this year in Livermore. It was so beautiful, and I met so many other amazing artists. I also saw some friends from another show I do in Danville each October called Art in the Park! I really enjoyed myself and the show went so good.

Here was the set up:

I had quite a bit of original art this year, and a lot of smaller pieces. I had no idea that they would be so successful and it was so much fun to see someone find just what they were looking for and purchase it from ME! I felt honored to have my artwork placed in so many homes.

Cheers to Trio's

These are two more finished pieces inspired by my Trio theme. The thing I love about trio's is that it almost moves my artwork into that photography category where you see several different shots of the same image. Also, you can mix and match the subject or order of things around your house.

Puzzle Pieces

I have always loved the look of Diptych paintings. I even went through a phase where it was all that I painted. Inspired by that idea, I have moved into a puzzle phase. Tiny little paintings pieced together to form one image. This adds so much more variety to your artwork. It also allows the owner of the artwork to change the order of the canvases however they would like. This can easily create a more contemporary and modern feel, even if the subject is quite traditional.

City Scene

These three tiny paintings were inspired of the San Francisco Area. Two images of the Golden Gate bridge and one of Coit Tower. Because both have so much History to them I wanted an aged look. They started out Black and White and very modern. Just adding some rustic detail and vintage tones brought more depth and meaning to these tiny city treasures.
